What We Do
The Computer Services Department (CSD) is the central IT department of the Cayman Islands Government, providing IT security, service delivery, and technology solutions that ensure adequate tools and resources to carry out the government’s digital and technological objectives. It provides vital technological support services, which create the foundation on which the Civil Service runs.
Our clients are mainly based in our home islands: Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman, but we also have clients in the United Kingdom. The Department is essential to the Cayman Islands Government’s Business Continuity, acting as the backbone for the functioning existence of all core Government entities and several statutory authorities. The Department utilises sound principles of IT Governance to secure, maintain, support, and develop resilient Government information systems and information infrastructure.
CSD offers application and web development, enterprise IT infrastructure services, an IT Service Desk (including call centre), IT procurement, and technical support services (including remote and mobile services). Security and IT Governance are layered across all services.
